Whatever brings you back to school, we understand the unique challenges mature students face, from balancing family responsibilities to managing finances. At DC we’re committed to helping you succeed and reach your goals. Join us at our Mature Student Event, designed for anyone who is not currently enrolled in high school full-time, and explore how DC can help elevate your future. Register Now Discover a wide range of diploma and degree program options – from eight months to four years – along with services designed specifically for mature learners. The evening will feature an inspiring panel of mature students sharing their stories, plus opportunities to explore programs, connect one-on-one with advisors, and learn about financing options and flexible learning pathways. EVENT AGENDA 5:30 p.m. – Doors open 6 p.m. – Welcome and event overview Learn about the mature student experience at DC and the resources available to you. 6:10 p.m. – Panel Discussion Learn from some of DC’s mature students as they share their personal stories of growth, transformation, and success. Discover what motivated them to return to school, the challenges they overcame, and the support they received from the DC community. This panel will inspire and reassure you that it’s never too late to pursue your goals. 6:30 p.m. – Explore programs and services Personalized experience: Explore programs and services that align with your unique circumstances, interests and career goals. Comprehensive support: Learn about financing your education, flexible learning options, academic success supports and balancing school with other responsibilities. One-on-one advising: Receive tailored guidance on program selection and the application process. Free assessments: Have previous post-secondary experience? Our Transfer Services team will determine if you qualify for credit for your prior learning! Application workshop: Apply to DC at the event and we will cover the $150 application fee.
