What is Mixed Reality? Mixed Reality (MR) is the result of blending the physical world with the digital world. It refers to the merging or combination of virtual environments and real environments where both worlds can exist together. The MRC Studio provides a development facility to explore human interaction within a virtual space, be it media assets, performance capture, or simulation and training. Durham College offers academic programs that utilize AR, VR, and MR technologies to train students, augmenting classroom learning and making students job-ready. In collaborating with The MRC studio, companies will be able to develop solutions to effectively convey a VR experience without needing to rely on in-person demonstrations. Developers will be able to use MR to show the user in the heart of experiences, immersed in a virtual world, and interacting with the elements in it.
