Our Faculty of Health Science labs and classrooms are focused on hands-on learning and designed to help you hone your skills.

For example, our nursing simulation labs support students in the Practical Nursing, Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Personal Support Worker programs. Human simulators, ranging from infant to adult, teach students the importance of communication and relationship-building between patient and caregiver, as well as vital sign assessment, medication administration, wound care and intravenous initiation. Critical Care students also learn to manage acutely and critically ill patients.

Students in the Dental Hygiene program practice their pre-clinical, client care and radiography skills in the on-campus Dental Clinic, working closely with a licensed dentist and experienced faculty to provide dental hygiene care for members of the public.
