Barrett Centre – Summer Farm Open House

The Summer Farm Open House is a free community event where visitors can discover everything the Barrett Centre Ajax Urban Farm has to offer through guided farm tours or a self-guided walk along the farm path. Meet staff and the student farm team to learn about sustainable farming, growing at home, innovative technologies, educational programming, food security initiatives, and student learning opportunities. Visitors are invited to shop fresh produce at our market, and Durham College’s Bistro ’67 will be on site with delicious farm-to-table food samplings. The event takes place on Thursday July 16, from 12:00-5:00 pm at the Barrett Centre Ajax Urban Farm, 1355 Harwood Ave. N., Ajax.
