EXPERIENCE DC – PLAN YOUR DAY

  • Speak with deans, expert faculty members and current students in breakout rooms to learn more about specific programs and opportunities (visit the welcome booth for a printed list of options).
  • Meet with representatives from our service and support teams.
  • Take a guided walking tour of our campus, including the Gordon Willey building, Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre, residence and more.
  • Attend information sessions about a variety of topics.
  • Meet DC President Don Lovisa.
  • Log in to the free Wi-Fi and share your Open House experience on social media using #DCOpenHouse.

Once you become a student at DC there are important steps to take before you enter the classroom. Join our Enrolment Services team as we take you through your next steps and what you need to know before you go! We will be covering important academic dates, your faculty, your student record, course registration, payments, navigating our online tools and much more.

DISCOVER STUDIES IN ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY – ELECTRONICS, ELECTROMECHANICAL, MECHANICAL

During this presentation faculty members and students will discuss what these engineering technology programs have to offer and future career options.

COSMETICS/ESTHETICS DEMO

Are you passionate about the beauty and cosmetics industry? Our talented faculty members will showcase the techniques you’ll learn as you prepare for your career.

FIREFIGHTER – PRE-SERVICE DEMO

Faculty and current students will provide demonstration of donning and doffing bunker gear and using a self-contained breathing apparatus. Additionally, faculty and students will tour prospective students through the fire hall and tour the fire truck.

STUDY ABROAD: EXPAND YOUR CLASSROOM AND EXPERIENCE THE WORLD

In a globally connected world, studying abroad is one of the best ways to acquire global skills and access personal and professional opportunities. This session will provide students with an overview of opportunities, including semester abroad exchanges, faculty-led classrooms abroad and short-term summer programs.

EXPLORE OUR CAMPUS

Join one of our guided walking tours to see all the areas of campus including our modern labs, classrooms and state-of-the-art learning environments, the Esports Gaming Arena, DC Spa, Centre for Collaborative Education (CFCE), Integrated Manufacturing Centre, student residences and more. Tours will depart every 15 minutes.

GUIDED WALKING TOURS – Join us for a 40-minute guided walking tour that highlights the Gordon Willey building, Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre and more. Walking tours depart every 15 minutes from the tour depot located in the Marketplace Cafeteria.

CAMPUS BUS TOUR – Take a load off and explore our campus in a whole new way! Join us on our tour bus to explore locations like the Centre for Collaborative Education, Campus Ice Centre and more!

DIRECTIONS AND PARKING

Free parking is available at all of our locations during the event. Enter the Oshawa campus at the Commencement Drive entrance off Simcoe Street North. Turn left onto Founders Drive and make your way towards the Commencement Parking Lot. Follow the directional signs towards the event entrance at the SW wing.

CHECK IN EARLY AND BEAT THE LINE
