EXPERIENCE DC – PLAN YOUR DAY

  • Visit faculty and current students in breakout rooms (visit the welcome booth for a printed list of options).
  • Take a guided walking tour of our campus, including the W. Galen Weston Centre for Food, Ontario Power Generation Centre for Skilled Trades and Technology and more.
  • Attend demonstrations and information sessions about a variety of topics.
  • Log in to the free Wi-Fi and share your Open House experience on social media using #DCOpenHouse.

We’ll be offering a number of workshops on a variety of topics to help you start your DC journey right. More information will be available soon.

GUIDED TOURS

Join us for a campus walking tour and explore our state-of-the-art facilities, including the Ontario Power Generation Centre for Skilled Trades and Technology, shops and service areas. Those who wish to see the residence can stop in at the end of each tour.

APPLY NOW – PROTO 103, drop-in any time between 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Ready to apply to a full-time DC program? Members of our Start at DC Team will take you through the application process step-by-step and answer all of your questions. They’ll tell you everything you need to know about the application process and what to expect once you’ve applied. If you apply for your program at Open House, we’ll waive your $125 application free. Plus, you’ll take home some DC swag!

CULINARY DEMONSTRATION – Galen Weston Centre for Food, B101 and 103, drop-in any time between 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Our talented faculty and students will demonstrate their culinary expertise in our state-of-the-art kitchens.

LEARN ABOUT CREDIT TRANSFER, PATHWAYS & PLAR - Shop Class 2 - 10:30 to 11:15 a.m.

Have you completed previous post-secondary education and are looking to transfer to Durham College? Join us for an information session to learn more about the credit transfer and PLAR (Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition) processes and the resources available to assist you in your transition to DC. You’ll also learn about the opportunities to transfer from DC and beyond.

NEXT STEPS AFTER YOU’VE ACCEPTED YOUR OFFER - Shop Class 2, 12:45 to 1:30 p.m.

Once you become a student at DC, there are important steps to take before you enter the classroom. Join us to walk through your next steps and what you need to know before you go! We will discuss tuition payment options, class registration, obtaining verification letters, important dates and deadlines, and all the other ways we can assist you during your time at DC, and even after graduation.

DIRECTIONS AND PARKING

Free parking is available at all of our locations during the event. When arriving at the Whitby campus, please enter from Champlain Avenue. Start your visit at the Main building entrance. After registration, a member of our team will provide you with details on where to go next.

CHECK IN EARLY AND BEAT THE LINE

Registrants will receive an email with a unique QR code in advance of the event. You can either complete the pre-event check-in or present your unique QR code at the door.
