Spring Open House – Whitby campus event details

START YOUR DAY AT THE WHITBY CAMPUS – MAIN BUILDING

Upon arrival at campus, be sure to or pick up a printed event guide, which includes the following checklist to make the most of your experience! Click here for directions and parking information.

EXPERIENCE DC – PLAN YOUR DAY

  • Meet the Whitby campus principal, Rebecca Milburn, in the main lobby.
  • Visit faculty and current students in breakout rooms (visit the welcome booth for a printed list of options).
  • Take a guided walking tour of our campus, including the W. Galen Weston Centre for Food, Centre for Skilled Trades and Technology and more.
  • Attend information sessions about a variety of topics.
  • Login to the free Wi-Fi and share your Open House experience on social media using #DCOpenHouse.

NEXT STEPS AFTER YOU’VE ACCEPTED YOUR OFFER

Once you become a student at DC there are important steps to take before you enter the classroom. Join our Enrolment Services team as we take you through your next steps and what you need to know before you go! We will be covering important academic dates, your faculty, your student record, course registration, payments, navigating our online tools and much more.

STUDY ABROAD:  EXPAND YOUR CLASSROOM AND EXPERIENCE THE WORLD

In a globally connected world, studying abroad is one of the best ways to acquire global skills and access personal and professional opportunities. This session will provide students with an overview of opportunities, including semester abroad exchanges, faculty-led classrooms abroad and short-term summer programs.

GUIDED TOURS

Join us for a campus walking tour and explore our state-of-the-art facilities, including the new Centre for Skilled Trades and Technology, shops and service areas. Those who wish to see the residence can stop in at the end of each tour.

DIRECTIONS AND PARKING

Free parking is available at all of our locations during the event. When arriving at the Whitby campus, please enter using the south parking entrance, accessible via Champlain Avenue. Start your visit at the Main building entrance. After registration, a member of our team will provide you with details on where to go next.

CHECK IN EARLY AND BEAT THE LINE

Registrants will receive an email with a unique QR code in advance of the event. You can either complete the pre-event check-in or present your unique QR code at the door.
