Students from the Game Art program display their artwork at the Station Gallery in Whitby.

Community comes together to celebrate Game Art student exhibition

Durham College (DC) Game Art students were celebrated at the opening reception of the Game Art Student Exhibition at the Station Gallery in Whitby on February 4, 2026. The event brought together students, employees, industry professionals, city officials and future students to recognize the creativity and technical skill on display.

The exhibition reflects the strength of DC’s Game Art program, where students develop industry-aligned skills in concept art, 3D modelling and visual storytelling. The work on display demonstrates the creativity and talent of DC’s aspiring artists as they prepare to launch careers in game development, animation and digital media.

Events like this strengthen connections between students, industry professionals and the broader creative community, providing a platform for emerging talent to be recognized and for students to gain insight into their future careers.
