Welcome to The Zen Garden! The return of a glorious monthly series for Ontario Smash Ultimate! Now featuring Rivals of Aether 2, Ultimate Doubles, and evening Side Brackets! Featured in the greatest venue Ontario has ever seen: The Durham College Esports Arena!

This a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Monthly tournament hosted by Smashurai Esports in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada at the Durham College Esports Arena. This event takes place Saturday, May 9th 2026 featuring Smash Ultimate Singles, Ultimate Doubles, and Rivals of Aether 2 Singles.

Ultimate & Rivals 2 Singles Prizes [Subject to change depending on entrant count]

1st Place – 42.5% of the pot

2nd Place – 22.5%

3rd Place – 15%

4th Place – 10%

5th/5th Place – 5%

Transit

Durham Transit Bus 302 goes from Whitby Station GO -> Durham College every 30 minutes.

Durham Transit 901 and 905 also go either into Durham College or right next to it.

Please consult Google Maps ahead of time to plan accordingly for transit.

Other Information [Parking, Wi-Fi, Stream, Volunteer]

Parking is paid, with an $8 flat rate. Drivers can receive compensation for bringing a carpool however, as discussed in discounts.

Venue will offer free Wi-Fi.

Singles pools will be Double Elimination format, with the top 4 players advancing to a Pro Bracket, while the remaining players advance to an Amateurs Bracket.

Safety Details

Attendees under the age of 16 must have a parent or guardian contact RyanDCB (519-386-4534) prior to the event, or provide contact information at the door.

Attendees must wear appropriate clothing as minors will be present at the event. Attendees in overly revealing clothing will be turned away at the door. If you have any questions regarding this, please message either of the TOs with the same numbers provided in the above paragraph.

Great deal of space available for setups & hanging out, many available outlets of course

Air conditioned, with multiple air conditioners to keep our competitors cool during the event!

Free water will be provided in bottles.

Event Registration

Early Bird Online Venue Fee – $15.00 [Available for the first 15 Attendees]

Regular Online Venue Fee – $20.00 [Available until Tuesday, May 5th, 2026]

Late Online Venue Fee – $25.00 [Available until Friday, May 8th, 2026]

Spectator & Friendlies Venue Fee [At the Venue] – $10.00 CAD

Providing a full setup (Super Smash Bros. Ultimate + Nintendo Switch Console) $5.00 Discount Smashurai is not liable for any missing or stolen equipment, please label your equipment and check on it frequently. There are cameras at the event, so stolen equipment will likely be monitored.

Carpool Driver of 4+ Attendees $20.00 Discount

If you are a newcomer to the scene, welcome! To make this event as newcomer friendly as possible, if this is one of your first tournament experiences please talk to me (RyanDCB) with utmost honesty and I can give you a $10.00 Discount on your venue.
