As technology advances and cyber threats become more sophisticated and complex, it is crucial for DC to provide current and aspiring cybersecurity professionals and small and medium-sized enterprises access to applied research services and leading-edge cybersecurity education that will prepare them for the ever-changing threat landscape.

The combination of DC’s applied research expertise and its market-driven educational programming, in collaboration with in­dustry experts, brings a first-of-its-kind cybersecurity ecosystem to Durham Region.

The Centre for Cybersecurity Innovation is the result of interdisciplinary collaboration among ORSIE and the college’s Centre for Professional and Part-Time Learning and School of Business, IT & Management.

In today’s world, there is a cybersecurity workforce shortage. The Centre for Cybersecurity Innovation presents new opportunities to also address the talent gaps that exist in this sector.
