Join us on September 30, the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation, for the 2nd Annual Orange Shirt Day Mini Powwow!

Time: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Location: Naanaagide’endamowin Courtyard and First Peoples Indigenous Centre (Centre for Collaborative Education, Room 141)

9 a.m.: Firekeeper and vendor arrival/set up, fire lighting

10 a.m.: Opening, speakers

• Firekeeper Ronald Leaman

11 a.m.: Drumming, dancing, teachings

• Drum: High Tide Singers

11:45 a.m.: Closing by Elder Dorothy Taylor

12 p.m.: Lunch (registration required)

1 to 3 p.m.: Activities at the First Peoples Indigenous Centre, including drop-in crafts, special guest workshop, fireside chats, vendors

• 1:30-3 p.m.: Plant Teachings workshop hosted by Matthew Levac

3 p.m.: End of event.
