On-campus Employment Durham College’s on-campus employment programs are designed to assist full-time, domestic and international students who demonstrate a financial need with useful career-related experiences that will help them achieve their personal and academic goals. These programs are funded by Durham College and offer competitive wages. DC Works During September to April the DCWorks programs allow students to work part-time during their studies. Students must complete an application, which can be found on MyDC in August of each year. To be eligible for the DCWorks program students must meet the following requirements: Be a Canadian Citizen or permanent resident and meet the Ontario Residency requirements as defined by OSAP Have a demonstrated financial need Be enrolled in a full time post-secondary program with a minimum of 60% of course load Achieve a GPA of 2.0 or higher each semester to remain eligible for the program IWorks During September to April the IWorks programs allow students to work part-time during their studies. Students must complete an application, which can be found on MyDC in August of each year To be eligible for the IWorks program students must meet the following requirements: Be an international student holding a valid Study Permit Be able to obtain a Social Insurance Number (Studying and working in Canada as an international student) Be enrolled in a full time post-secondary program with a minimum of 60% of course load Achieve a GPA of 2.0 or higher each term to remain eligible for the program Summer Employment Program Our Summer Employment program offers students a limited number of full time job opportunities to returning students between May and August. Students must complete an application which can be found on MyDC To be eligible for the Summer Employment Program students must meet the following requirements: Be a Canadian Citizen or permanent resident and meet the Ontario Residency requirements as defined by OSAP Be an OSAP recipient or have a demonstrated a financial need Be enrolled as a full-time student in the fall and winter semesters preceding the summer employment period Be returning to full-time studies in the fall semester following the summer employment period Have a GPA of 2.0 or higher in the previous semester
