Our beautiful Dixon-Alger Fireside Reading Room features exposed brick, an electric fireplace, and a two-storey glass wall overlooking Polonsky Commons and the reflecting pool. We welcome requests for use of our Fireside Reading Room. We balance those requests with the need to provide students with quiet study space, particularly in peak times such as exam periods. Fireside Reading Room Booking Procedures: Reservations & Cancellations Please submit your request to book the Library’s Fireside Reading Room no later than one week prior to your event. Need to change or cancel? Please email library@durhamcollege.ca at least 2 business days in advance of your event. Room Location, Size, and Capacity The Fireside Reading Room is located in LIB 200, on the 2nd floor of the Oshawa Campus Library. The maximum occupancy of the room varies, depending on the room configuration for your event. If other furniture is required, it is the responsibility of the event organizer to arrange special furniture delivery, setup, and removal following the event. The space is equipped with electrical outlets and can accommodate AV equipment setup. These arrangements are the responsibility of the organizer. Submit requests for furniture and equipment directly through servicedesk@dc-ot.ca Food & Drinks If you require refreshments as part of your event, submit orders directly through DC Eats on Catertrax. Please ensure that catering equipment and any leftover food are removed promptly following your event. Please indicate below if you plan to make catering arrangements.
