General Bursary

Durham College students are considered for all bursaries and awards using the General Bursary Application form. Only one application is required per academic year and students are assessed and provided bursaries to meet their financial shortfall for the academic year.

Application Process

Students entering their academic year:

• In September should complete the September General Bursary, which opens the second week of September, closes late October.
• In January should complete the January General Bursary, which opens the second week of January, closes late February.
• In May should complete the May General Bursary which opens the first week of May, closes late June.

There is only one application open per semester. Please contact the Financial Aid Office if you have missed your application deadline to request consideration for the application to be submitted late. Be sure to select the application that aligns with your intake month. Submitting the incorrect application results in a “not awarded” response and will delay having your eligibility determined.

How to Apply

Once you begin your classes please log on to MyDC and follow the attached directions.

Please note there is an expectation that students apply for all funding available to them – including OSAP – before completing the application form to be considered for bursary funds.
