As a first step to getting started with Academic Upgrading, interested students will complete an online Skills Marker Assessment in Reading and/or Numeracy.

Writing the assessment provides us the opportunity to determine your current skill level and knowledge in these subject areas and helps us to create a Personalized Learning Plan. The Skills Marker assessment is not pass or fail and is not timed. It is designed to inform us about how we can best place you within our program and the level of upgrading you will require.

Once your assessment has been submitted, a staff member will follow up with you via email to schedule a one-on-one orientation. During the orientation, the staff member will share the results of your assessment, your personalized learning plan, complete the registration paperwork, and answer any questions you may have about your courses.

If you are interested in completing the assessment to get started with our Academic Upgrading program, click the "Apply Now" below to complete your application form.
