The Learning Portal is a collection of resources built in collaboration with the College Libraries Ontario (CLO), several Ontario college learning centres, and the Ontario College Library Service (OCLS). It contains excellent library resources and learning support hubs for both students and faculty. Take a look at all the hubs available! LEARNING ONLINE Learning online has distinctive challenges and opportunities. You’re probably used to the format of in-person learning, and learning online may be a new experience. This hub covers some strategies and tools that will help you be successful learning online, including support with motivation, help using new technology, and techniques for effective studying. STUDY SKILLS This hub will help you develop the skills you need to succeed in your program and cope with the demands of college. Each unit covers practical study skills that will build a foundation for academic success. RESEARCH In this hub, you will find tips on effective search and critical evaluation techniques, as well as information specific to citing and academic integrity. WRITING This hub will help you develop effective writing skills by showing you how to plan, structure and revise skills that will help you complete your written assignments. Each unit covers aspects of the writing process. WELL-BEING Well-being is an overall state of happiness and health, and the sense that your life is going well. It encompasses many different aspects of your life, such as your physical health, your relationships, your career, and your environment. All of these aspects of your life are connected and affect how happy you are in your life. This hub will help you develop strategies to improve your overall well-being. DIGITAL SKILLS This hub is an online digital media skills lab where you can learn more about computers, building content, 3D printing, awesome presentations, digital stories, and more. FACULTY TOOLKIT Useful resources for faculty, including finding course readings that the majority of Ontario college students have access to, quizzes and assignments to use in your classes, and how to find copyright assistance.
