International Women and Girls in Science

This year marks the 7th annual International Day of Women and Girls in Science. The day aims to recognize the role of women and girls in science, not only as beneficiaries but also as agents of change.

Take a look at women in STEM throughout history, and learn more in some of these films:

  • Women in Science – a panel of 3 celebrated female physicists provide their unique perspectives on the issue of gender in the sciences
  • The Computers – the story of the ENIAC Programmers, six young women who programmed the world’s first modern, programmable computer  without programming language (for none existed)
  • Climate Activist Greta Thunberg on the Power of A Movement: a Swedish teenager and climate activist talks with William Brangham to discuss galvanizing young people across the globe to the climate cause.
