Campus to reopen

Tuesday, October 30, 2012
8:35 p.m.

As of this evening, Tuesday, October 30, the broken water main impacting the water supply at the Durham College and UOIT joint Oshawa campus has been fixed and the water supply restored to campus.

The campus will reopen at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, October 31 and normal operations and activities will resume at that time.

Public Health department representatives will be on campus tomorrow to test the water quality. Before consuming any water, the department recommends running faucets for five minutes (e.g. cafeterias, office and residence kitchenettes, etc.).

Please be aware that traffic travelling northbound on Simcoe Street may be affected due to road repair work associated with the water main issue so delays should be expected. Please leave enough time to travel safely and drive cautiously.

Thank you for your patience.
