Event Management

Students will learn the theoretical principles and practical applications involved in the preparation and execution of an event. Fundamental concepts required to execute an event from inception to completion with an overview of various event types is included. The focus will be on events that drive tourism to a destination, such as community, cultural, festivals and other collaborative initiatives. Students will be introduced to event technology and apps that are used to enhance event management and the event experience.
