The Interprofessional Simulation Lab is a simulated clinical setting where students begin to acquire the knowledge and proficiency to perform selected psychomotor skills competently. Learning is facilitated through demonstrations, practice, research, review and peer critique. Learning activities are designed to facilitate the development of problem solving and decision-making skills. Cooperative learning approaches provide the student with the opportunity to enhance communication skills while developing effective partnerships within a group. This learning is essential to safe practice in the practicum area.
