Domestic Animal Science

Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of animal identification. The classifications of purebred cats and dogs as well as common coat colours, patterns, physical and behavioural attributes associated with these species are discussed. Students will be introduced to the normal values for a healthy animal when performing a physical exam. Finally the students will be introduced to the fundamentals of the anatomy and physiology of major organ systems found in domestic animals.
