Prints and Installation methods is designed to give the student an understanding of wiring methods used in single family residential structures. The student will learn how to interpret prints of a single-family dwelling with the alpha numerical lines, the metric and imperial scale, obtain information from the architectural, structural and mechanical drawings, specifications, learn theoretically how to wire the structure using the Canadian Electrical Code and the text. The practices learned will be applied to installation class and a take-off for a single family residential structure will be completed including a panel schedule. References will be made to local municipal by-laws and the Ontario Building Code.
