Students develop problem solving skills by applying topics of study to related practical problems. Topics of study include: advanced geometry; trigonometry and trigonometric functions; complex numbers and polar coordinates; exponential and logarithmic functions; systems of equations; quadratic equations; and variation. Students apply an understanding of Microsoft Excel for graphing a variety of functions, and to solve more advanced mathematical problems in an engineering context.
