Interactive Media

This course introduces students to concepts in the creation of virtual environments found in cutting edge galleries or at special event venues. Students are given the opportunity to explore stand-alone web applications to develop interactive spaces using projectors, standard and touchscreen monitors/devices, gesture-controllers as well as other alternative input devices. Emphasis is on investigating and understanding the connection between current hardware/coding options and narrative storytelling while immersing the viewer in a visual, auditory and sensory environment.
