This subject is designed to assist Music Business Administration students further develop their skills in written communications. Music Business Documentation I and Event Workshop I support each other and assignments are integrated between the two courses. Students will use the writing skills learned in Communication Essentials for specific applications in the field of entertainment administration. Such applications include writing various business letters, press releases, business email messages, biographies, informal reports, and meeting documentation. Significant emphasis is placed on the continued improvement of grammar, spelling, word usage, punctuation, and sentence/paragraph structure. Various essential MS Word features will be taught throughout the semester on an "as-needed" basis. Students will learn the "correct" and most efficient use of MS Word in order to complete documents in a timely and proficient manner.
