Emerging Trends and tools In Advertising

We live in a fast-paced, technology driven world. One where consumer interests and behaviours constantly change, making it difficult to predict results. Consumers want what they want, when they want it - and are drawn to companies and brands that deliver on their needs. Chat-bots, IoT, visual and voice search, Facebook Pay – are things advertisers cannot ignore. Those who look to the past and present will miss the future (JFK), so advertisers and their agencies must be positioned to influence change. This course allows students to research and discuss current advertising trends in an effort to become informed on the topics, tools and players making an impact on the industry. Students will identify possible areas of interest, which may require future exploration into specific industry roles.
