This course is an advanced approach to the study of violent crime. A review of basic theory then becomes an in-depth analysis of a variety of crimes experienced currently in our society. Each criminal example will be analyzed in a similar way; case facts, outcome, context and impact. Students will be expected to use this style of analysis to complete their own critical analysis, synthesizing their learning throughout the course.
