DC Spa - Lab 1

Students will perform make up application services using a variety of corrective techniques learned in their first year of study, in a real world setting with paying clients at the Durham College Spa. Client consultations will be practiced, strengthening active listening skills to identify a client's concerns and goals. A strong emphasis will be placed on adhering to industry infection control protocols and professional image standards commonly expected within the cosmetics and personal care settings environment. Students will use relationship and consultative sales tactics to overcome client objections, close product sales, and execute marketing initiatives to attract prospective client bookings and retail selling opportunities.
