Students examine the codes and standards (section 3.2.4 of the Ontario Building Code and CAN/ULC-S524) to design fire alarm systems. Circuit structures, audibility, and fire alarm networks are analyzed to support the application of fire detection principles. Students design basic fire alarm systems for various building classifications. This course is essential for obtaining your Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) designation.
