Industrial Process Safety Management

Employees working in the processing industry need to understand the safety, health, and environmental hazards associated to this working environment. This course focuses on the prevention and reduction of operational risks such as catastrophic accidents and near misses associated with unintentional releases of chemicals, biological, energy, or other potentially hazardous materials. This course will cover theory and practical systems analysis and assessments as well as the management of change in relation to process. This course is designed to introduce students to the basic techniques of reliability and maintenance, fault tree analysis, failure mode, effects analysis, and block diagrams.
