This is an introductory course in financial management, which will develop student's understanding of theoretical finance concepts required for effective decision-making in a variety of business environments. Concepts will be applied to practical situations and examples to further enhance analytical and assessment skills. Topics include financial ratio analysis, budgeting, forecasting, evaluation of intangibles, short versus long-term financing, capital structure and leverage, venture capital, capital budgeting, and working capital management.
