Students are introduced to the operation and management of staff and departments in an accommodation business. The course will focus on the tasks, responsibilities and positions of the Rooms Division as it relates to the guest service cycle and includes training on the use of a hotel property management system. Practical learning is further enhanced using a revenue management simulation program to understand the measurement of key performance indicators. Students will also research sustainable business practises in the industry as it pertains to the guest experience.
