This course is designed to introduce students to the historical context and current operation of the Canada's political and legal systems. Students will examine institutions within Canadian government, the roles of persons within those institutions and the concepts of civil and political rights and responsibilities. Students require an overview of political and legal structures, processes and principles to provide a solid foundation for future study in justice-related courses.
