Operations and Process Management

SCMT2200 builds on the introduction to the field of Supply Chain & Operations Management that was begun in SCMT 1100. In this second course, students who will pursue a two or three year program specializing in Supply Chain & Operations will continue to learn about their chosen field. In SCMT2200, the focus is on the internal activities and processes that supply chain and operations managers are responsible for in their own organization. All organizations exist to provide products or services to customers. Remaining competitive requires those goods and services be produced efficiently, and that they meet or exceed the customer's expectations. SCMT2200 will introduce students to some of the tools that supply chain and operations managers use to make decisions and to manage the resources and activities that will ensure the organization can reliably supply the goods and services its customers want.
