This course carries on from ideas introduced in Fundamentals Of Quality Management Systems. Students will investigate various topics in more detail, including selected specialized control charts and process capability. Additionally, more advanced topics will be addressed including Gauge Control Studies (GR&R), Acceptance Sampling and the Design of Experiments (DOE) as appropriate methodologies in certain quality control situations. The course concludes with a comprehensive review of human factors in quality and examines some barriers to quality improvements efforts.
