Health and Wellness Promotion Our team is dedicated to fostering a balanced and holistic approach to health and wellness. We provide a range of programs and services that are responsive to the unique needs of each student. Wellness is the active pursuit of optimal well-being. It is the act of practicing healthy habits on a daily basis to attain better academic, physical, social and mental health outcomes. Instead of just surviving, you’re thriving! There are many different dimensions and pathways of wellness - as a student it can be hard finding the time to prioritize wellness or knowing where to go to find support. We encourage students to engage with health and wellness focused resources to cultivate growth, take action, and thrive. Wellness Week is a collaborative initiative happening across Durham College and Ontario Tech. It’s designed to showcase the wide range of programs, services, and supports that help students care for their overall wellbeing. Students are encouraged to explore the different offerings, try something new, and learn about resources that support social, emotional, mental, academic, and everyday wellness. Plus, by attending events and submitting a short Google form for each one, participants will be entered into a draw for a prize pack. It’s a fun way to get involved, discover what’s available on campus, and prioritize your wellbeing!
