National Nursing Week is May 8 to 14

National Nursing Week happens annually during the week of Florence Nightingale’s birthday, May 12. She was a British nurse and founder of modern nursing. it was during her work in the Crimean War that she became known as “Lady with the Lamp.”

The theme of 2023’s National Nursing Week is Our Nurses. Our Future. The theme emphasizes the many roles that nurses play in a patient’s healthcare journey. COVID-19 highlighted the commitment that nurses bring to work every day and their essential role in our communities. Thank you to the nursing professors and nursing students, we appreciate you!
