Start Strong at DC Sessions Our Start Strong at DC series includes online modules, live virtual sessions, and in-person events designed to help you feel confident, connected, and ready for your first day of classes. For the best possible experience, we recommend that you do it all! PREP 1000 – Self-paced Online Learning Modules We’re excited to introduce you to PREP 1000 – a collection of online learning modules designed to help you navigate college life before your first day of classes. This is the first step in your orientation journey, and you’ll be introduced to key information that you’ll need to be successful at DC. Through the modules you’ll learn how to: Navigate DC Connect, a central tool that will be used in your academic courses Upload assignments, take quizzes, and participate in online class discussions Select your timetable, set-up your bus pass and Campus ID Apply for financial aid and set-up your academic accommodations Purchase books and register for Student Academic Learning Services (SALS) Online Understand student expectations and available support services Don’t worry, this is a non-graded activity, and you can work through the modules at your own pace between now and the completion deadline of Friday, January 30, 2026.
