Mental Health Needs Assessment (MHNA):

CHWC’s Mental Health Needs Assessment is conducted for all Durham College students self-referring for mental health supports. These appointments are completed by a mental health professional where a standardized tool is utilized to determine a student’s needs to provide them with resources, appropriate referrals and support with next steps for navigating their mental health and wellness journey

What to expect during your appointment

  • In-person and virtual availability
  • Screening of mental health urgency
  • 20-minute appointment with a clinician
  • Initial intake for entry to mental health services
  • Referrals based on presenting concern and risk assessment
