Meet Your Mental Health and Wellness Navigator (MHWN)

The Mental Health and Wellness Navigator assists students at Durham College to provide mental health promotion, supportive advising, assessments and referrals as needed.  The student will first meet 1:1 with the MHWN for an intake session and during this time information will be gathered and the student will be connected with further resources and supports either on or off campus.

The Mental Health and Wellness Navigator Can Help With

  • Navigating students to the resources available through the Campus Health and Wellness Centre
  • Connecting students to on campus and community resources
  • Any mental health concerns or needs
  • Health teaching ie. general mental health information, medication management, addictions and more
  • Situational classroom support or debriefs after distressing event

Please Note

  • Given the resources within the clinic and depending on the students presentation there may be a wait time.  The clinic does it’s best to ensure students are seen by a mental health professional within the most timely manner.
  • The Mental Health and Wellness Navigator is only for Durham College students.  If faculty/support staff are in need of Mental Health services please see below resources
