Campus WiFi (CAMPUS-AIR) Connecting to CAMPUS-AIR Current students, employees, and faculty with a valid network account can connect to CAMPUS-AIR using their network credentials. Your username is your student or Banner ID number (10xxxxxxx), and your password is your network password. New students or employees: Before connecting to Wi-Fi for the first time, you must log in to the network once and change your default password. Note: Student network accounts are removed one year after a student’s last class. After that, students willno longer be able to sign-in to the CAMPUS-AIR Wi-Fi network. If prompted to trust the certificate, click “Trust” on the top-right hand corner of the screen. Connecting an Android device / Chromebook to WiFi Note: Depending on the version of Android and the device manufacturer, the screenshots may look different than pictured below. This is especially true with Chromebooks. Open the settings app and go to the Wi-Fi networks section Select CAMPUS-AIR from the list of Wi-Fi networks Use the following settings to configure the network: EAP Method………………... PEAP Phase 2 Authentication….. MSCHAPV2 CA Certificates……………. Use System Certificates Online Certificate Status… Do Not Verify / Do Not Validate Domain……………………… dc-uoit.net Identity……………………… [Your Student ID] Anonymous Identity……… [N/A – Leave Blank] Password…………………… [Your Network Password] Press Connect You should now be connected to WiFi Connecting a Windows 10/11 device to WiFi Note: Different Windows operating systems may differ slightly from the screenshots below. The steps below reflect connecting for the first time or after removing the WiFi profile for CAMPUS-AIR. Click on the Wi-Fi / Network icon in the taskbar Select CAMPUS-AIR and click Connect Your Username is your Student/Banner ID Number, and your password is your Network Password. You should now be connected to CAMPUS-AIR Note: If you are unable to enter your credentials, Right – Click Campus-Air and select FORGET. After this, try again. Connecting an MAC OSX device to WiFi Click on the Wi-Fi menu bar icon, found at the top right of the screen, and select Network Preferences Ensure that Wi-Fi is enabled, then select CAMPUS-AIR from the list of networks. If you don’t see CAMPUS-AIR, follow the steps in 2a. Otherwise proceed to step 3. In the WiFi Menu, click on the Advanced button. Select the button to add a new profile. If you have connected to CAMPUS-AIR in the past, then you will instead need to edit the existing configuration profile by double clicking on it from this list (or removing it and adding it like new) Enter the following information – See the example image below for reference Name: CAMPUS-AIR Network Security: WPA/WPA2 Enterprise Username: ONCAMPUS\100xxxxxx Password: Your Network Password Click the OK button to continue On the Network window, click Apply to save changes. Close off all open system preferences windows, and Mac OS X should initiate the connection to CAMPUS-AIR automatically as long as it is in range Troubleshooting Tips for WiFi Connection Issues Make sure you are not using a temporary network password Temporary network passwords cannot be used to connect to the CAMPUS-AIR Wi-Fi. Ensure you have changed your default password before attempting to connect. Remove/forget the existing network The first troubleshooting step you should take is to ensure the network is completely forgotten from your device. This can usually be done by going into your device wireless settings, finding CAMPUS-AIR and ensuring there are no pre-saved configurations for the network. For Apple devices, remove all entries from keychain access related to CAMPUS-AIR. Verify network credentials Confirm that your network account is active by signing in to a service that uses the same credentials such as DC Mail, DC Connect or a college-issued computer in the Computer Commons) Try a different username format Try adding ONCAMPUS\ before your username (i.e. ONCAMPUS\10xxxxxxx ) and ensure you are using the same password you use to sign in to your email account.
