Roots of Recognition: Understanding Land Acknowledgements

Land Acknowledgements play a significant role in recognizing Indigenous rights and contributing to reconciliation efforts, thereby fostering respectful relationships. In this session, we will work together to help you understand your personal connections to Land Acknowledgements and Reconciliation within your role at Durham College. Participants will leave with a personalized Land Acknowledgement for use in their courses along with strategies to translate these acknowledgements into meaningful actions.
