Course Content Repository (CCR) Training

Date:
May 25
Time:
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Venue
MS Teams

You are invited to this training session to assist you with importing course material into the new course content repository and start editing content. The course content repository (CCR) was created to support faculty in accessing and sharing course materials and align content across sections. This initiative creates a streamlined and consistent content source for courses, while maintaining sandbox access for customization.

What is the CCR?
Each course has a corresponding CCR, located in the new ‘Course Repository’ semester tab in DC Connect. This serves as the source version of the course, where materials and activities can be stored and organized to promote consistency across all sections.

The CCR is intended to centralize the work that typically occurs in individual sandboxes and/or manually managed courses during the spring season.

Why This Matters?
Faculty assigned to teach a course will automatically be enrolled in the corresponding CCR as a ‘Repository Copier’. This role allows faculty to copy course content into their sandbox/CRN while avoiding unintentional edits to the CCR itself.

Any edits that would historically be made within a sandbox or manually managed course can be made in the CCR by the ‘Editor’ to maximize consistency, and support shared improvements and high-quality courses for students.

Individual sandboxes will remain available.

How to Access the CCR?
To access the CCR:
1. Log in to DC Connect.
2. Navigate to the ‘Course Repository’ semester tab within the ‘My Courses’ widget.
3. Use the left side navigation arrow of the widget, if needed, to view additional semester tabs.

If you have been identified by your faculty office as a CCR ‘Editor’, you will have access to upload, edit, and manage course materials within the repository.

Faculty and staff involved in course outline development and curriculum management are encouraged to attend.
