Please speak with your Executive Dean/Associate Dean and indicate your interest on the following brief form: APPLY NOW Available partial secondments Updated on November 29, 2022 at 11:21 a.m. Educational Event Facilitator Portfolio: Advancing Learning Conference event direction and support Positions available: 1 Secondment term: Winter 2023, Spring 2023: 2 hours/week Working in collaboration with the manager, eLearning and the CTL, the event facilitator will use their industry and educational expertise to provide guidance on the strategic direction of the Advancing Learning Conference (ALC) at DC in May 2023. This individual will be responsible for strategizing with the CTL on the planning, design, production, promotion, and coordination of the ALC. This facilitator will also support students in experiential learning opportunities. Advancing Learning Working Group Participant(s) Portfolio: Advancing Learning Conference Positions available: 2 Secondment term: Winter 2023: 1 hour/week Working in collaboration with the manager, eLearning, the seconded Event Facilitator and the CTL, working group participants will use their passion about innovative educational technology and advancing Ontario higher education to provide suggestions on the Advancing Learning Conference (ALC) at DC in May 2023. These individuals must be engaged educators passionate about enhancing technology-enabled teaching and learning, the focus of this conference. Participants will engage in the working group by providing innovative ideas for the conference and supporting coordination of the ALC. Course Facilitator Portfolio: College Teaching Certificate – EDUC 1100: Teaching & Learning Principles for the College Classroom Positions available: 1 Secondment term: Spring 2023 – 2 hrs/week, & Fall 2023 – 4 hrs/week Reporting to the director, Educational Development, the course facilitator for EDUC 1100 will deliver the course to new full-time faculty during the Fall 2023 academic semester, in alignment with the established course outline and program learning outcomes. They will offer guidance and identify growth opportunities for participants through constructive, specific and actionable feedback. The successful applicant will be an experienced full-time faculty member, demonstrate strong instructional and leadership skills, a detailed understanding of adult learning principles, and regularly engage in reflective practice and professional development in higher education learning. They will be confident directing and facilitating productive conversation and collaborative learning, and comfortable soliciting and sharing best and novel instructional and classroom management practices.
