Call for Proposals

We want to celebrate and provide a platform for you to share your best practices, successes, and lessons learned over the last semester! As a follow-up from Fall Academic PD Day, we encourage you to submit sessions focused on your trials and tribulations using GenAI in the classroom; however, we are also open to accepting sessions that highlight general teaching, learning and assessment practices at DC. Proposals will be accepted until Friday, April 12, 2024.

New VR OPPORTUNITIES 📣 / FEBRUARY 23, 2024

Bodyswaps and SimX

The CTL is happy to announce that Bodyswaps licensing has been extended from April 2024 - March 2025. Along with this, the CTL has been testing SimX: a VR app that includes a collection of medical simulations to support nursing and EMS training. Join an upcoming PD session to learn more!

SoTL Call for Proposals

The CTL is excited to announce the call for new Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) project proposals for the 2024-25 academic year! SoTL involves purposeful research into student learning with the intent of improving deep and durable learning, while contributing to the body of knowledge about student learning.

SoTL proposal deadline: Friday, May 24, 2024 at 5 p.m.
All proposals can be sent to: sotl@durhamcollege.ca

DC Holiday Closure

From Monday, December 25, 2023 through to Monday, January 2, 2024, Durham College will be closed for the holidays. Faculties and some departments, including the CTL, will be unavailable during this time. Faculty members seeking same day in-person or virtual support are encouraged to connect with the team when the college reopens on or after Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
