Clipchamp Great news - Clipchamp is now part of the Microsoft 365 suite! Clipchamp is an all-in-one video capture and editing application that is great for beginners but also has some more advanced editing capabilities. It was designed to make video creation easy for everyone. Clipchamp was acquired by Microsoft in 2021 and has recently been added to the Microsoft 365 suite. It also comes installed with Windows 11. Clipchamp has browser, desktop and mobile versions available. (Note: browser version works great for Windows and MacOS; desktop version works on Windows 10 and 11; mobile version works on iOS) The browser version of Clipchamp is unique from other browser editors in that it utilizes localized processing – which means it doesn't require you to upload asset files. Clipchamp accesses your project media such as footage, images and audio directly from your computer. This makes the processing and the overall workflow quicker. If you are looking for an alternative to sharing videos in YouTube, consider using OneDrive/Stream. The instruction document below will walk through how to export a video from Clipchamp and then share it using Microsoft OneDrive/Stream. Why are OneDrive and Stream sometimes referenced interchangeably? Microsoft has integrated OneDrive and Stream so closely that it can be hard to differentiate between them when dealing with video. Easy explanation: OneDrive stores the video files; Stream plays the videos and provides control of video settings and features. As always, don't forget to ensure your video has captions!
