Moving Through the Framework

Braided Learning Framework.

Entering the Framework, you will begin in the center with the “Self.” This is an opportunity for inner reflection and setting intentions for your learning. Upon completion move outward, each concentric ring builds on connections between various pedagogies and learning strategies. As learning is lifelong, reaching the outer circles does not signify a conclusion. Instead, move back inward, reflect on the journey within circular learning akin to taking a breath. Further, this framework understands that new learning can always happen, so we may find ourselves back in the center more than once, continuously learning and expanding our minds and selves.

Continuous Development Opportunities

Based on the Braiding Learning Framework, faculty are encouraged to develop their teaching competencies further by exploring the Braiding Knowledge: An Educator Growth Program which uses this framework to help explore your teaching practice further.
