The Course Progress Hub

The Course Progress Hub widget appears on the right-hand side of the course homepage in DC Connect. The hub enables faculty to monitor overall class progress more effectively by providing real-time tracking, facilitating just-in-time support, supporting timely follow-up with students, and flagging when assessments may need to be redeveloped — all with the goal of improving student retention.

Students see their own version of the hub which monitors their individual progress in the course, helping to keep them on track and moving towards a successful outcome. Success in a course is a team effort between students and faculty, and the hub supports this collaboration.

This resource is intended to help faculty understand the hub, as well as to provide next steps to support individual students and re-design curriculum to develop stronger assessments.
