Career coaches are available to support students as they create their cover letters and résumés offering suggestions for improvements and information on ways to connect with employers. One-to-one appointments on job search strategies, cover letter and résumé writing, LinkedIn profile reviews, and interviewing techniques are available. Durham College (DC) students and graduates have exclusive access to the DC Hired site with its online job board, career resources and employer and career events calendar. Can I get help with writing a résumé and job searching? Yes, coaches are available by appointment to assist students and alumni. How can I find an on-campus job while studying at Durham College? Work Study refers to some on-campus jobs that are sponsored through Financial Aid and Awards office. Students interested in applying to Work Study jobs must complete the Student Financial Profile, found on MyCampus (under the DC Financial Aid tab). Once approved for the program, students can apply for the on-campus jobs listed under the Work Study Jobs tab of the DC Hired Site. The Student Association, Aramark, Residence, and Athletics, Student Academic Learning Services (peer tutoring) and other college departments hire students for part-time and summer work directly.
