The purpose of this course is to develop the fundamentals of architectural manual drafting, drawings and free-hand sketching and to introduce the student to the design and construction of residential dwellings. The use of instruments, linework, lettering, dimensioning, scale, symbols, layout of drawings and presentation will be emphasized as they relate to construction and renovation of modest homes or other small wood-frame buildings.
