This course will introduce students to relational databases, business rules and structured query language. Students will first learn the basics of database environments before coming to understand why we make databases and where they fit into the world of information technology. Using SQL, students will create and query relational databases to practice providing valuable solutions to unique business needs. Assessments in this course include 4 individual practical assignments, 1 group assignment and 1 personal portfolio of work.
