Clinic Theory 1

This subject is designed to provide the student with the theoretical knowledge required in order to function in the role of a Level II Dental Assistant. Emphasis is placed on infection control, disease transmission, oral evaluation, instrument transfer, fundamentals of topical and local anaesthesia, rubber dam application, dental hand pieces and rotary instruments, and the professional role of the Dental Assistant.
